During a press conference in Kumasi, Abass Nurudeen, the Ashanti Regional Communications Officer of the NDC, made it clear that the party will not accept any form of military intimidation or harassment of its members.

“We want to make it known that any military personnel deployed to intimidate our supporters in the Ashanti Region will be met with resistance from the NDC,” he stated.

Nurudeen reiterated the party’s commitment to a peaceful election process, emphasizing that the NDC will not engage in violence. However, he warned that the party will take action if its supporters are subjected to intimidation or harassment.

The NDC has called on the Electoral Commission, the National Security Ministry, and other relevant authorities to ensure that the elections are held in a peaceful and transparent manner.
