The Electoral Commission (EC) is set to host regular media briefings on Election Day, December 7, 2024, to keep the public informed about the election’s progress.
The briefings, scheduled for 9:00 am, 12:00 noon, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm, aim to provide timely updates and ensure transparency throughout the electoral process.
Additional briefings will be held from 9:00 pm onwards as results come in from various regions. Each session will last no more than 30 minutes.
The EC is inviting accredited media personnel to cover these briefings, which will also serve as a platform for the Commission to address any reports or stories from around the country.
To prevent the spread of unverified information, the EC urges the media and the public to verify election-related reports with the Commission.
