Ghanaian actors Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, and Martha Ankomah have resolved their widely publicized defamation case through an out-of-court settlement.

Originally slated for a hearing on July 31, 2024, the case was withdrawn after LilWin opted for an amicable resolution with Ankomah. The specific terms of the settlement remain confidential.

Ankomah had filed a lawsuit against LilWin, seeking GH¢5 million in damages, along with an apology, a retraction, and an injunction to prevent further defamatory statements. This legal action followed disparaging remarks made by LilWin in a viral video.

LilWin, renowned for his comedic roles in Ghanaian cinema, has expressed admiration for Ankomah’s acting prowess and has indicated his intention to cast her in an upcoming film project, signaling a desire to move past the dispute.

Both parties have agreed to take legal action against any blogger who discloses details about the case, thus preserving the confidentiality of the settlement.

This out-of-court settlement concludes the highly publicized dispute, allowing both actors to refocus on their careers and potential future collaborations.
