Ghanaian media personality and entrepreneur, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has officially confirmed that her second attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon was unsuccessful. This comes after months of anticipation and support from fans, corporate partners, and institutions nationwide.

In an official press release issued under her production outfit, Askof Productions Limited, Afua expressed both gratitude and resilience in the face of the setback. She described the journey as “challenging yet rewarding,” highlighting the personal growth, discovery, and life-altering experiences that came with attempting the feat.

The release, signed by Afua Asantewaa Anomastewaa I, expressed appreciation to a wide range of supporters, including Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, Ike’s Cultural Village, Nasco Electronics, International Maritime Hospital, Zoomlion, and several other sponsors and partners from Ghana and across the world.

“This second attempt, unfortunately, did not meet the Guinness World Records’ requirements,” the statement noted. “However, we are grateful for the support, constructive criticism, and belief in the vision.”

Afua’s attempt had been widely publicized and followed, with massive backing from both private and public sectors, as well as strong media attention. Her first attempt, which also did not succeed, had already made significant waves locally and internationally, garnering immense admiration for her endurance and determination.

Despite this latest outcome, Afua remains undeterred. She assured the public of her commitment to progress and hinted at future endeavors: “We will continue to make steady progress.”

The disqualification may come as a disappointment to many, but Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s perseverance continues to inspire thousands across the globe. As she closes this chapter, her resilience and leadership have cemented her status as one of Ghana’s most ambitious cultural icons.
