New Ministers Pledge to Drive Development and Growth

In a move aimed at bolstering the government’s development agenda, Parliament has approved the appointment of five new ministers. The approved ministers include Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak as Minister for the Interior, Ali Adolf John for the Northern Region, John Kwadwo Gyapong for Oti, James Gunu for Volta, and Mrs. Rita Akosua Awatey as Eastern Regional Minister.

During their vetting, the ministers reiterated their commitment to driving development and growth in their respective regions. Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Minister for the Interior, emphasized the need for reforms in the security sector, including the promotion of security personnel and the improvement of prison conditions.

The regional ministers outlined their development plans, which include initiatives to promote agriculture, improve infrastructure, and enhance education and healthcare outcomes.

They pledged to work closely with district and municipal assemblies to unlock the development potential of their regions.
