Togbega Kadzi Zogah II, the Paramount Chief of Sokpoe, has called on the people of Tongu to ensure peaceful elections in the upcoming polls.
He made this appeal during a thanksgiving service to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Akosombo and Kpong Hydro dams spillage.
The Paramount Chief emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the community, particularly during the election period.
He encouraged the youth to be law-abiding and to refrain from any acts of violence or intimidation.
Togbega entreated the traditional leaders in the area to ensure that there was peace and any form of electoral violence were avoided.
The thanksgiving service was attended by the chiefs, elders, and people of Sokpoe, who came together to express gratitude to God for their lives and the continued peace in the traditional area.
