The Traders Advocacy Group Ghana (TAGG) is calling on local businesses and traders to prioritize fire safety measures following a recent series of fire incidents in Zongo Lane and the Kasoa business area.

The fires, which have caused significant damage and disruption, highlight the urgent need for strict adherence to fire safety protocols.

TAGG’s recommendations include regular inspections of electrical wiring and heating equipment, ensuring that fire extinguishers are accessible and that employees are trained in their use.

Traders are also advised to develop and practice emergency evacuation plans and comply with local fire safety regulations.

The advocacy group emphasizes that by taking these proactive steps, traders can help prevent future incidents, protect their businesses, and safeguard lives.

TAGG remains dedicated to promoting fire safety awareness and supporting businesses in creating a safer environment.
