Kwaku Raymond, a Ghanaian military veteran and popular social media personality known as “EchoLima,” has made a significant leap in his military career transitioning from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to the United States Army.

In a heartfelt announcement posted to his vibrant TikTok account on June 4, 2025, EchoLima shared the news of his enlistment in the U.S. Army after serving nearly two decades in Ghana’s military.

“Twenty years ago, in 2005, I was enlisted in the Ghana Army. After 19 years and four months of service, I resigned and relocated to the United States,” he revealed. “God bless America and the American Army for giving me this opportunity and a better life. I am a warrior and a member of a team.”

His announcement has since resonated with thousands of followers, many of whom expressed admiration for his dedication, patriotism, and pursuit of a new chapter abroad.
