Four Universities to Receive GH¢10 Million Each As Seed Funding- Haruna Iddrisu.

Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu has announced that a GH¢ 40 million seed funding has been allocated to emmerging Universities within the country.

The minister, addressing a gathering at C.K. Tedem University of Technology and Applied Sciences in the Upper East Region last Saturday, June 21 indicated that the seed funding is in the quest to redering quality education to students of these emmerging public universities within the country.

“This government is fully committed to nurturing our young public universities, ensuring they have the necessary resources to develop and provide quality education that meets the demands of our evolving economy.”

The minister further announced that the host school, C.K. Tedem University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Navrongo will receive GH¢ 10 Million from the GH¢ 40 million seed funding allocated to these emmerging Universities.

The three remaining schools; University of Energy and Natural Resources (UNER) in Sunyani, University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho and S.D. Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SD-UBIDS) in Wa have been allocated the remaining GH¢ 30 million cedis.

Mr. Iddrisu further announced that the fund was uncapped through the 2025 GETFund fomula aimed at targeting developmental projects ie infrastructure and research faculties within these institutions.

He made this announcement during the 5th Congregation of the C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences.
