Togbui Dzablu IV, the Awafia of Kpando Dzewoe, has issued a call to action for alumni of basic schools to provide support to their former schools, underscoring the significance of maintaining robust educational foundations.

This appeal follows the recent renovation initiatives undertaken by alumni of Adidome Roman Catholic Primary and Junior High Schools. Togbui Dzablu IV emphasized that many individuals often overlook their humble beginnings, becoming preoccupied with their current status.

The Awafia expressed concern that basic schools are frequently neglected in favor of Senior High Schools and Universities, which receive greater attention and support from both the government and alumni. He highlighted the fact that numerous basic schools continue to suffer from inadequate learning environments, with some students being forced to learn under trees.

Togbui Dzablu IV called upon Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to extend their support to basic schools. He specifically cited the pressing need for new dual desks at Adidome RC Primary and JHS, where students are currently using furniture that is over 30 years old.

He commended the alumni group for their commendable efforts and urged others to follow their example. Togbui Dzablu stressed that the basic education level is where individuals acquire essential skills in reading, writing, and speaking, making it crucial to uphold strong educational foundations.

He encouraged alumni to remember their alma maters and contribute to strengthening the foundation of their educational journey.
