Bechem United FC, a local football club has offered to give out a hundred thousand cedis reward to anyone with verified information that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of the murderer of Nana Pooley an Asante Kotoko football fan.
In the bid to fight for justice for the deceased and to put an end to hooliganism in the Ghanaian football space, the lead management of Bechem United, Dr. Kingsley Owusu Achau has offered the bounty to help identify and prosecute the culprit.
Additionally, some security measures are being enabled to halt hooliganism in the Ghanaian football spaces. “part of our commitment to ensuring safety and order, we have immediately engaged an expert to install CCTV
cameras at our stadium to monitor and deter any acts of violence.” the release elaborated.
Moving forward, football supporters have also been advised to stray from any acts of hooliganism or face the consequence of a lifetime ban from all Bechem United football matches in the future.
The deceased Nana Pooley was stabbed on Sunday, February 2, 2025 during a football match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko FC at the Professor Amoah Koromansah Stadium.
Reports have indicated that the murderer (Barimah) is said to be on the run however Bechem United is hoping that the bounty will speed things up in apprehending the culprit.
